Our Mission

Relationship-based community advocacy group, built on the belief that inclusion and empowerment are essential to lasting change.

Pillars of understanding

EDUCATION IS OUR TOP ECONOMIC AND CIVIL RIGHTS PRIORITY

Families with economic choice leave or choose not to send their children to RPS, thus removing tax revenues and disposable income necessary to revitalize our city. Prolonged disinvestment in Richmond's impoverished neighborhoods have continued a legacy of cyclical poverty.

NEIGHBORHOODS ARE THE BUILDING BLOCKS

Richmond's history is defined by neighborhoods which served as gathering places for cultural, economic, and civic life. By working through these established networks for improvements in our economy, housing, environment, and transportation, we can further reinvestment in our city.

RELATIONSHIPS ARE ESSENTIAL TO LASTING CHANGE

True change only occurs through relationships, namely our connection to God, others, and society. To reconcile Richmond's past, we must begin with conciliation, or the act of relationship-building, in the present. Over time we will begin to develop the elements necessary to sustainable solutions, an engaged citizenry and responsible leaders.
